This thread is intended to bring together the official websites of laptop display manufacturers, so that each one of us can know what's on the market at any given time.

So if you don't know what LCD screen is best for you when you want to upgrade, or what models you can search for, this list should help you out.

    I will start here...

    Samsung: SAMSUNG's Digital World
    LG - Display : http://www.lgdisplay.com/lgdhp/eng/product/notebookList.dev
    AU Optronics (AUO) : http://auo.com/?sn=149&lang=en-US&c=34
    Chimei Innolux: http://www.chimei-innolux.com/opencms/cmo/products/notebook/spec_jsp.jsp

Other manufacturers, but with little info on their websites:
    Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT): http://www.cptt.com.tw/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=494&Itemid=49
    Hannstar: http://www.hannstar.com/Common.aspx?mid=144&tmid=3&modid=4

How do we know if these are compatible with our laptop. I'm really just curious as to when they will release 1440p notebook displays at 15.6". For the P150EM :p I would upgrade ASAP if that came haha.

You will care about the pinout of the connector.

1440p is getting very, VERY close to the maximum xfer rate of dual channel lvds so they may switch to 3 channel in which case you could not use it.

So the P150EM is a dual chennel LVDS?? So it is theoretically possible for 1440p displays to be supported by it?? I would like to get one next year, or maybe in 2 years. Would be pretty amazing to play some games at 1440 p on a 15.6" imagine the clarity from the high PPI, Skyrim/BF3??? Even at High settings they would look so epic. Haha.

That's why I posted this here, so we can check them out when they arrive.

I also want a high resolution display. The thought of going back to 1920x1080 scares me.
