Glossy coatings (like Crystal brite) add optical contrast and vibrance. It also adds reflections, especially when working outside or in a very bright room.

"A glossy display is an electronic display with a glossy surface. Glossy displays are said to provide better color intensity and contrast ratios than those with a matte finish. The primary disadvantage of these displays is their tendency to reflect any external light, often resulting in an undesirable glare.[1]["

My advice would be to walk into a shop and go see if you prefer matte or glossy. I personally prefer glossy.
