    I'm considering buying a Maxtor 500 GB enternal hard drive as a way to keep my laptops 320gb hardrive remotely free,to store all of my junk on which seems to accumulate rapidly, and back up my computer.

    Does anyone have any thoughts on the Maxtor drives? I heard they're decent quality and have not completely convined myself to buy one yet, but an external hard drive would be nice.
