So i was backing up a bunch of games on my Maxtor 500 Gb external Onetouch hard drive, and ive been notcing that ive been getting extremly slow transfer rates: 925kb/sec, im using a usb 2.0 port, am i doing somthing wrong here or is this a normal transfer rate?

if it is, i might as well return the hard drive and purchase a firewire 400 drive

im also using windows vista 64 bit

Wait until Microsoft releases SP1, or download and install the SP1 RC from the Microsoft website. The service pack has a fix for the slow transfer issue.
