I am mid level technician not an engineer so I do need some support for my big problem.

Well, I got two pieces of this precious Acer Aspire 5900G with Geforce 8600M GT and as you can imagine - both are dead because the well-known overheating issue. The Acer service store wants a huge amount of money to repair them. But I am fed up with this conspiracy and just want my laptops alive with less money for repair and more reliable video card.

May I use GeForce 9300M GS instead of Geforce 8600M GT? Seems like they are equal but some practical experience will help me a lot! Waiting for your support and advice :)
