Looks like it is a 4GB stick, however these are very rare since that's such a large amount to put on a stick. Just to be safe, I'd call up both places to make sure.

Ill ask to DELL, btw did you see the ram stick image at the DELL page?, the ram stick has more memory chips in it, look at the top part of the stick, I have seen
various rams sticks but this one is different.

Most usually have a 4x2 configuration. One thing I noticed is that it says the OEM Manufacturer Equivalent Part Number is Apple MA940G/A, and so I'm kinda worried about who it's exactly for, laptops or Macs. Though since Dell is selling it, I'd say it'd have to be for laptops. Definitely give them a call to see if it's a 4GB stick that'll work with your machine.

Macs now use standard DDR2. Some use laptop memory (imacs, minis) so it might be apple manufactured and used other places.

Just FYI...but Macs are the same as PCs. No if, ands, or butts. They all use DDR2 memory.

Yeah, I know lol I had a macbook and I upgraded to 4gb with a 2 x 2gb configuration. (same modules like a pc). But then I sold it :p.

The new macs are more like pcs by now because they use intel parts to produce them instead of ugly powerpc processors, basically they are pcs...

By next year, the card will be like $100 max.
Memory drops in proce ridiculously fast.
When the 2gb memory cards were first released, they were like $200 each, and now you can get a 2gb card for $35.
The 4gb card will go down in price just give it some time for it to become mainstream.

Guys, that $625 is MSRP, but nobody pays MSRP, a lot of online stores are selling it for about $450. :D

I hope so, cause I'm waiting to try out 8 GB in my system. :p

The price will drop dramatically if it becomes mainstream. DDR3 is gonna take over, so i dont think it will have enough time

eg. The price of a 1gb PC2700 DDR RAM is still expensive for what you get.
