wPrime 32M:
2 Threads - 27,974 sec ( http://wprime.net/score.cgi?id=16222)
4 Threads - 27,551 sec ( http://wprime.net/score.cgi?id=16220)
-
32m = 25 secconds E2140 stock voltages + stock cooler
1024m (not pictures above , cant be botherd to run again) = 804 secconds
£30 for E2140
£160 for Q6600
E240@ 3Ghz = 25 secconds
Q6600@3Ghz = 15 secconds
66.7% of the performance of a Q6600 but only at 18.8% of the price...
(Not to mention its not even a quad- So unfair comparison)
Oh yeah...
Edit:
Ditto , wPrime 1.60 gives me wayyy off results also , I was getting 47 odd with 1.60 seems a common problem -
32M: 2 minutes and 24.437 seconds
1024M: 1 hour, 19 minutes, and 10.715 seconds
I did the 1.024 billion one for kicks -
Isn't wPrime taking the CPU to full speed when running?
Maybe you can tell me why my score is so low: -
-
There are 2.
-
Does you task manager show two charts under the performance tab?
If yes, then the only reason your score is that low is that you are being bogged down with resources hogs:
- Antivirus suite (Norton & MacAffee are the worst of them)
- Spyware detector
- System Restore
- your Theme is set to Aero (you can change everything to Classic Mode)
etc.... -
Task manager shows 2 charts. I read the tips before, so I disabled:
- Antivirus
- All internet connections
- System restore is long time disabled
- Entered Task manager and ended un-needed processes.
- Aero off.
Next idea? -
You power options must be set to Max Performance.
And you need to make sure your system is plugged into AC to prevent power saving. -
I even reviewed bios and changed a setting "when on AC: Max. Performance"
I tried everything, but still shows 1169 MHz in the wPrime window. -
get RMclock to override your BIOS and OS's CPU settings.
I use it to force full clock speed for benchmarks. -
Well, that's more like it. Now my CPU speeds at 2 GHz. Here's the result with all I could think of off:
But still a bad score compared to other CPU's which are slower. -
thats fine.
I can still see that your Theme is on Aero.
Dont worry about the other scores, since the people that attained them, literally, stripped down your OS to bare GUI and working drivers. -
Download version 1.55 here and then you should get an accurate result -
I guess it's not a beta version. It doesn't say anything anywhere about being a beta.
I'll try 1.55 tough. -
Post your findings when you try 1.55! -
If that's the case, what'll happen to all the guys that will try the last version? I mean, they'll all get higher scores just because they use that version.
And last but not least: which scores are real?!The lower scores that we like, or the higher scores that we hate?
Here's mine with the 1.55: 41.202 sec. -
-

Why does it only detect 1 CPU? v1.55
-
you go into Advanced and set threads to 2
-
Tinderbox (UK) BAKED BEAN KING
32M = 59.467 sec / should be around 35.0 secs
both cores where at 100% when running
why/ set to 2 threads

John.
-
which version of wPrime are you using?
people said the 1.5 versions are more stable.. and remember to disable the resource hogs. -

I don't like to brag(although it makes me happy) but why does my score beat a T7300??
I know mine's overclocked but...
Here is my speed with the v1.55,Attached Files:

The new AMD mobile CPUs are quite good.
If you can submit your scores, it would be nice to put that score on the hall of fame. -
Tinderbox (UK) BAKED BEAN KING
it was 1.5, just download 1.6 - jus the same time
some thing is wrong, during the processing, the % indicator seems to speed up and slow down.

yeah 37 is very good , I think my t7200 gets just over 45 im really pleased with my desktops 25 though
hows that amd under load temp wise?? My bros machine is always giving out v hot air. -

Here is my new Benchmarks, my last becnchmark was done in the safe zone of my overclocking(2.25GhZ). I tried it now to the unstable range of 2.4GHZ.(unstable because many applications, mostly CPU intensive like video encoders, hangs with this speed)
The first one is on v1.55 and v1.60 (v1.6 shows that I outpaced a T7700)Attached Files:

ran this right after a clean windows installation and with aero turned off
was ~55sec and ~2000sec before clean installation. so i guess this is a BIG BIG improvement

it's my humble Asus U1E with U7500 1.06 GHZ
161.337 for 32m
I know it's slow
ups forgot to set into 2 thread
updated resul 76.89
not bad -
But is it slow in normal usage? Oh, you might consider updating your Sig.
I'll be back soon with 2,8GHz results. -
nope. mo slowness in normal use
My main workstation still Acer, that's why I still keep as sign -

Damn, I just ran wprime 1.55 and it got 44s.
Terrible,oh very terrible indeed.
Let`s see what things I can disable.
EDIT : disabled all that I could, AV, a bunch of processes that were using the cpu(according to the task manager...)
41s.
Damn that is low and despicable.
Most people get about 34-37s.
EDIT2 : Disabled a bunch more random processes(26 processes running atm),got 40s.Damn it just isn`t fair -
32.752 sec
T8300, 2.4ghz core 2 duo -
update
i got 29.264 when running vista in safe modeAttached Files:
-
-
I don`t get it. Is my T7500 a crappy CPU ?
-
no it is not eleron... try booting in safe mode, BUT better still dload the latest wiprime, when i tried 1.6 i got 64seconds and on 1.55 i got 32
http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=233722 -
Also, wPrime is not a terribly good performance indicator. I had a better time OC'd to 2,8 GHz than Chaz's 3,4GHz X7900, because my fsb Was faster. That's also why AMD CPU's score so highly.

For 32M (both under XP SP2):
HP NC 8000 Pentium M banias 1.7Ghz 1GB ram: 1min 49.5sec
Thinkpad r50P Pentium M banias 1.7Ghz 2GB ram: 1min 50.7 sec -
Advent 9617 (Uniwill L75II)
Intel Pentium Dual Core [email protected]/ 2GB RAM@533MHz / Vista Home Premium - 59.7 sec
basically, it performs almost like t5200, as I expected.
