Got it down to 1:40 with@:

    Inspiron 6000. 1gb RAM Pentium M 1.86ghz X300 graphics card, 80gb 5400rpm hard drive.

Quite pleased with the result as it seems to be faster than many.

I did this on my desktop. It's a 3 year old Dell Dimension 8100: Pentium 4 (first edition) 1.4GHz, 384MB SDRAM, with iTunes and Firefox running in the background.

I thought I would get comparable results to some of the Celerons who posted at around 3 minutes.

    But NO!

    9m03 seconds.

I should run it on my Ebay Satellite laptop I'm replacing, if I got 9 minutes on this, I would guess about 15 or 20 on the old POS I have downstairs...

    2M super pi: 2min 20secs~

    Celeron M, 1.4 ghz
    256 Ram
    Windows XP Home
    On AC
Compaq Presario V2000, the $350 (!!) Office Depot computer.
Also running IE, Word and AIM, and 50 processes.

Not bad at all, the Celeron M is much faster than my older Toshiba P4 2.0ghz laptop (which had 3min 40secs). Desktop P4 in a laptop blows.

I think that's good but you should be doing the 2M test so your results can be compared to everyone elses AND with the Pentium M there should be a sizable difference between battery and ac results.

Actually, I don't. The Celeron M 1.4GHz and the Penitum 4 1.4GHz (Bainias) are the same processor, the Celeron only differeing in the fact that it doesn't have the power management features of the Pentium.

Also, that Dell B120's test was done after a fresh reformat, so without anything running, it is pretty fast.
