I recently tried to upgrade my laptop RAM from 2 x 1GB to 3GB.
I ran a memory test on crucial and here are my results:
* Maximum Memory Capacity: 3145728 MB
* Currently Installed Memory: 2048 MB
* Available Memory Slots: 0
* Number of Banks: 2
* Dual Channel Support: N.A.
* CPU Manufacturer: GenuineIntel
* CPU Family: Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2130 @ 1.86GHz Model 14, Stepping 12
* CPU Speed: 1866 MHz
The test shows that my laptop is capable of taking 3GB.
However, when i inserted 2 new RAM sticks, of 1GB and 2GB, i turned my laptop back on, and only a black screen was present and nothing changed. Not even windows vista boot or Medion startup.
Anyone have any ideas what may be the problem? And if theres a solution to it.

try putting the two 1Gb memory cards back into your laptop.
Go to medion's website and see if their is a new bios revision for your system. If there is a new bios revision, you should update your bios.
After updating the bios, try installing the 2Gb and the 1Gb card again and see if it is recognized.
Good luck,

Try with only the 2GB stick inside. And do as K-TRON told you.
But if you had 2x1GB before, why did you buy another 1GB stick besides the 2GB stick? -
I have the new Bios and still no change.
Also, i bought another 1GB stick to be sure it was compatible with the 2GB i bought.
I have noticed, if i put just one of the 1gb sticks in, it works. Likewise with just a 2gb stick.
But not combined.
