    Given that Meltdown, Spectre and now Spectre-NG are like gifts that keep on giving, I'm wondering if Ryzen's IPC is now effectively higher than Sky/Kaby/Coffee Lake's, but I can't seem to find any recent benchmarks on the topic.

    No, Ryzen IPC is not higher if you count over all clocks.
