Is that the right kind because now im getting that Blue screen on a random restart and I think this Ram could be causing it!

I'd suggest going to www.memoryx.com, or www.corsair.com they have a memory configurator there that can tell you the type of memory that you need for your unit.
Checking it does seem that you use DDR2 if you have 533 then this new one should have just downclocked to match. I'd suggest downloading and running a program called memtest86+. it's bootable, so just stick it on a CD boot from it and run. That should tell you if you were sent a bad stick of memory. Other things that could be causing it include a bad memory slot. If you run the test and your memory in one slot shows up bad, a way to test for a bad slot is to swap the sticks and run the test again to see if the errors jump to the other slot.
I hope this is helpful. -
My computer is too new for a configurator!
It seems I put in the 512 sticks of mem and the laptop works but when I put in the two 1 GB sticks it goes to hell. -
i believe that either one stick is defective and cannot be compatible together. Find out the wrong one and bring it to them for RMA, they will replace it for you.
