I currently have the standard 512MB on my P25 and I wanna upgrade to max memory (1GB x 2)

I found a few bargain chips from new egg (PQI and Mushkin), but I'm wondering if it's worth it to get the higher priced Kingston or Crucial chips

Toshiba has their own 1GB chips listed for $148 a pop :(

What would be the best upgrade for my lappy?

Off brand memory has a slightly bigger chance it won't work as it is not tested as much before being shipped. In which case you can send it in for a replacement. I would not buy memory from Toshiba unless you like paying more.

Would there be a performance advantage between a $200+ Crucial/Kingston chip vs an $89 PQI chip

What type/speed of memory is it? There won't be any difference, no.

There will not be a performance increase however there is a big quality difference though. For instance crucial builds all of its own ram from start to finish to the highest quality and tests the heck out of it, its the most stable ram out there. I would imagine this cheaper brand just rebrands and does very little testing.

Personally I've been buying crucial for years

    200-Pin PC2700 333MHz SO-DIMM DDR

2 slots with a 2GB max, so I'll be going with two matching 1GB sticks

Out of all the ones listed on this link, which would you choose?

I hate making decisions like this, but I'm leaning towards the Kingston Valueram for $107.xx
