This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Memory Upgrade on R4000

    I am attempting to upgrade the internal memory moduly on my Compaq R4000 (actually R4100 ... not sure if there is any difference). I have removed the keyboard only to find no memory module and no memory module holder ... I know there is another internal stick in my computer (based on the fact if I remove the external one the computer still registers 256K of memory). Any help would be appreciated.

    I found my own answer. The ram slot is under the aluminum foil.
