I noticed, that my memory card reader supports only max. 1GB SD cards.
Is it possible to trick card reader into accepting >1GB cards?
As I understood my notebook uses some 'standard' 4-in-1 memory card reader, and Device Manager info says:
Manufacturer: SDA Standard Compliant SD Host Controller Vendor
    Driver date: 2002.10.01
    Version: 6.0.4069.1

It depends on how your card reader supports the cards. Have you tried using larger than a 1GB card, or did you just read some early documentation that said "Supports 8Mb-1GB SD cards!" type stuff? Because storage is relatively transparent any more, and it should support over a 1GB card.

I tried to use 2GB SD card. Windows sees it but shows, that it is not formatted and has only 1GB. My Camera works with this card perfectly...

I tried to format it using Windows, but when formatting I get an error, that my action can not be finished.

Maybe it's bacause this SD card is 150X speed?

Problem solved: it seems, all you need is a new Texas Instruments PCIxx21 driver. I installed v2.0.0.0 (although I know there is version 2.0.0.2 somewhere, but I couldn't find it) and everything works now.

Kudos to the Packard Bell - they are supporting their users with new drivers unlike some other companies.

If someone has newer version please let me know... :)
