i've been trying to tweak my RAM timings, with Memset and SPDtool. now my kingston stick works fine, but the hynix stick just won't be written to by SPDtool. so im left with really weird ram timings.

while the Hynix remains the same at 5-5-5-15. However, CPUz reports my memory timings as 4-4-4-12 ! how is this possible? and will it affect my dual channel setup?

The hynix ram probably has write protection enabled on the EEPROM.
