    Hi.

I need to upgrade the RAM of an ASUS N56VZ up to 16GB of RAM.
It must be 2x 8GB as the laptop only have 2 SO-DIMM sockets.

I thinks the best memory out there are the Corsair Vengeance PC3-12800 with and SPD latency of 9-9-9-24.

My question is, are they worth it? Will the performance increase be so noticeable from the value RAM that the laptops normally come with?
Or it's only show off for benchmarking and gaming?

It should be snappier. If you've already got 16GB though, you won't see much change in daily tasks.

If you're talking about the speed, assuming you have 1333 mhz and you upgrade to 1600 mhz, you'll notice absolutely no difference. I would recommend the upgrade if you need MORE ram, not faster ram. Faster ram only helps FPS when you are gaming on integrated graphics, but that's not the case for you.

There are some programs where faster RAM might make for a noticeable difference (e.g. WinRAR). However, as you mention, if the OP already has 16GB RAM, the overall minor performance increase is definitely not worth the price.

My laptop will come with only 6Gb, so I need to buy the 16Gb.
The question is if I should go for the Corsair Vengeance or if any value RAM is ok.

The latency makes no tangible difference. My advice, get the lowest-priced name brand memory out there that carries a lifetime warranty. A-DATA, Kingston, Corsair ...

I would get corsair based on the brand all else equal. They have a superb lifetime warranty combined with excellent customer support.
