    The insprion 9300 has a maximum memory support of 2Gb (2 x 1Gb) of Pc4200 or Pc5300 memory.
The Pc4200 memory will run at 533MHz
and the Pc5300 memory will run at 667MHz
either Pc4200 or Pc5300 will work in your laptop.
Do not buy Pc6400 memory because it will be a bit more expensive, and it may not clock all of the way down to the 533Mhz memory, your chipset supports.

Good sites to buy memory from are:
    Newegg, Zipzoomfly, Tiger Direct, Ewiz.
Just make sure to buy memory which has a lifetime warranty, cause you never know when a memory cell will become corrupt.
