Hello,
I would like to know if i can use PC2700 memory on a notebook that use PC2100. Can i mix the two of them?

hi Marceloc,
As long as the new memory is faster than the old, it will work. So in your case if the spec is 2100, using 2700 is fine. You can even mix them, just don't use memory slower than 2100.

The PC2700 memory will run at the PC2100 speed so don't pay extra for it.

Does the same backward compatibility apply to older SDR ram? I have a laptop that has one stick of PC100 and I was wondering if I can add a PC133 stick.
