I would like some thoughts on processors for a Clevo M570 Notebook.
What do you think the best option is for speed, battery life, heat, obsolescence.
My current front runner is the T7400. It appears to have a nice battery life advantage over the Athons, however I am not sure about speed.
I dont think the Turion is available for the Clevo but any thoughts on the merits of this processor would be appreciated.

A table of processor benchmarks.
There are a lot of threads regarding Dual Core processors in general, and comparisons between Turion and CD. The benchmark table includes PCMark06 of most processors, FX-60 would score better than T7400, then again, T7600 would score better than FX-60. Those are raw benchmarks only, did you check searching for threads on Athlon x2? Try the search upright of the page. -
The Clevo M570U is a beast of a gaming machine.
It can house up to Intel Core 2 Duo T7600 (2.33ghz)
The sweet spot for mobile CPU's currently lies with the Core 2 Duo T7200 or the T7400. They got the best "bang for the buck" performance/cost ratio.
The CPU in such a high-end notebook should not really be looked at for batterylife comparisons. Its going to be the larger hi-res LCD panel and the high-end videocard (nVidia 7950 GTX) that is going to affect the batterylife the most.
This notebook still cranks out about 2.5-3 hours of batterylife. -
speed and battery life are inversely related
the fastest processor for notebooks is the t7600g in the dell m1710, you can overclock it to a potential 3.1ghz, it's a $700 price tag that gives you 45% more speed and huge bragging rights
Memron vs Turion X2 vs Athlon X2 for Gaming Notebook
