    hello:

I just had this thought... since the current core duos are based on the future Merom platform, would the 945 motherboard chipsets support Merom?

I have read of an article by one of the posters here that he was able to replace the stock T2300 on his Acer 5672 with the T2600 he bough from ZipZoomFly... so if it is theoretically possible to change the processor, and also that 945 would support Merom, then you have more options buying the core duos now than before, right?!

I dunno... but this is just a thought! :)

    What do you think?

    Wishful thinking perhaps :p

No one actually knows, until Merom actually comes out, or someone leaks info :p

But wouldn't it be spiffy that in half a year, one opens up a Merom laptop, gets a yellow sticky tab with instructions how to turn on the 64bit on the 32bit Yonah? :)
