A person from XtremeSystems (coolaler) has compared the Merom T7400 to Yonah T2600.

The system consisted of the Aopen i975Xa-YDG desktop board for Socket 479 and CrossFire.

This should give you some idea of how efficient Merom is compared to Yonah.

Source: Merom T7400 VS Yonah T2600.

    Excuse me?

I thought Merom would be out at Q4 of 2006... it is Q2 of 2006 now? How can they have it already?

Intel ES (short for Engineering Samples) processors are not that hard to come by ;)

The Merom is still slated for later this year.

Commence with the kicking of self... Yeah, I knew Merom would rock, but I'm still happy with my decision to get my Yonah-powered Dell at a super low price. I plan on building a Conroe gaming system, so I'm not too bummed.
