I recently purchased a brand new laptop from dell and apparently it won't ship until October (bummer). Anyway, I was curious what would be a good mouse to purchase to go along with the laptop? I plan on playing games with it, but I also will be mobile as well. Are there good wireless mouses out there? Or am I suck getting a wired one? Also, I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it either, meaning I'd preferably not want to pay over $50-60.

There's plenty of them out there in that price range. Try the B&M or online stores.

Try www.newegg.com for good prices and great shipping. If you are a hardcore gamer you may have to limit your scope to the wired mice. But there are a few wireless options that can stand up to moderate gaming in terms of performance. Just make sure that the DPI for the mouse is over 800, the higher the resolution the better for gaming. It would suck for battery life though.

If you do look at wired mice, don't rule out desktop mice. I got one designed for desktops, but I never took off the tie around most of the cord, and as a result it's the perfect cord length for a laptop.

VX Revolution. If you can handle the forward/back buttons being index finger-controlled, the Nano is decent. I can't stand the placement of the f/b buttons on the Nano, so the receiver isn't enough to sway me. These are really the only mice you should consider. Both are in your price range.
