Does anyone have opinions about which MECHANICAL micro-Sata drives are the best and brightest out there?

Not looking for SSD at this time.

    Thanks in advance

MicroSata is a new connector format for 2.5", 1.8", 1.3" and 1.0" drives it's basically all pins, but in a reduced size connector , not as small as ZIF but smaller then PATA-44 or Desktop SATA

Well, thanks for the info, but what devices use these new connectors?

More importantly if they're still 2.5", why would we want to?

    Cheers!

The Toshiba 250gb microsata drive is the fastest drive available. It is also very expensive. I believe there is a 120Gb version of it, which has the same speed, but half the size and price. This drive is 1.8"
It is capable of doing 60mb/sec, which is more than twice what normal 1.8" drives can do.

    Good luck,

    K-TRON
