I'm kindof confused. What is the difference between mSata and SSD?
I'm looking between the
512GB Micron M600 M.2 mSATA SSD
and the 512GB Samsung 850 Pro Series SSD [SSD2 - SATA III]

SSDs come in different shapes and sizes. You can see an mSATA sitting on top of a 2.5" drive here. M.2 is another small form factor.
Most of the SSD product ranges include versions for one or more of the different form factors. The Samsung 850 EVO has 2.5" (7mm thick), mSATA and M.2 versions.

SSD = solid state Drive, can be of any size and interface
mSATA: micro SATA Interface, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_ATA#mSATA, comes with 1.18x2" size drives
m.2: m.2 Interface, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M.2, comes with 22x42, 22x60 and 22x80mm size drives with either SATA or PCI express controller -

The NP9772 has two M.2 SATA SSD or M.2 PCIe SSD slots and two 2.5" SSD/HDD drive bays. Not mSATA. XoticPC only adds to the confusion listing it as M.2 mSATA in their configurator.
