    I love their tablets for what they are, but this just seems to me like a tablet that you can't use as a tablet.

    If the screen goes flat (180 degrees); it will still be useful to some. ;)

    @tilleroftheearth screen doesn't go flat. If hinge is reliable and the angle is good for inking , the device still can be interesting. It is discussed a lot on TPCR.

    Thanks, that's a good discussion going on in that thread! 16 pages and counting...

    Even if it doesn't go flat; if a user can make it work for them, the ability to have a Surface Pen work on that screen is very desirable to have in any future compute device. ;)

    Not saying it won't be a good laptop/ultrabook, just that I'd probably go for an equivalent tablet instead with these specs.
