I would like to buy this PCI-e to USB 2.0 adapter to use with Logitech MK220 dongle internally in my notebook.
In some ads they say it is for Asus eeePC, in other don't - will it work in normal notebook? Does anyone have any positive or negative experience with that thing?
Also, I couldn't find any datasheet for Logitech USB dongles... What is their maximum operating temperature?
Update:
Now also considering this alternative.

i don't know. i remember a conversation with a friend who had hit miss success with a DIY eGPU/ViDock. Which i think is a bios and chipset related. Perhaps that would also be your limitation with the USB thing. i'd think it would be so bad it's since it's just a peripheral and more than likely handled the OS after boot up.

Many computers with a second m pci-e port aren't a true mpci-e port. They are often times msata, or 'something else'.
What is the model of your notebook? -

I found such adapter on local website, but it's revision 1 instead of 1.1 on ebay and costs 3x.
As far as I understand, they mention eee PC because it has some non-standard mpci-e card size and this adapter has proper holes (which can be removed by cutting them).
