Hi,
I have heard of miniPCIe POST cards, like this one:

I do have a broken notebook, and I may have many more in the future lol![]()
So this could be usefull if it's legit.
But it really sounds like it wouldn't work.
Can anyone tell me more about these things, has anyone used one and do they work?

Diag cards like that have been available for desktops for 'decades'. It only makes sens that someone would eventually make one for the mini PCIe interface.
Whether this notebook variant really works or not, you'll have to try it out.
But I can say that the full-sized cards for desktops work very well. -

I will go ahead and get one, would be interesting if it can actually diagnose the problem. -
POST diag cards have limitations, see if you can download an instruction booklet before spending the cash.
But as long as your notebook or desktop is getting power to the motherboard, a POST diag card can give you indications as to what kind of problem might be lurking. -

Seems like it doesn't support all notebooks, it depends on the BIOS.
And I know my toshiba uses a special toshiba BIOS, so I dont think it has a good chance of working. But I will give it a try anyway.
EDIT: Better instructions here:
