I discovered that my laptop has 1-DDR2-6400 2gb, 1-DDR2-5300 1gb. I purchased this laptop new. All descriptions about this laptop says I should have both sticks running at the same speed. I have read that running two different speeds can cause the computer performance to degrade. Is this correct? Anyone have miss matched memory sticks?

Nothing bad will happen; the faster stick will automatically match speed with the slower one.
