    Missing RAM?

    I've got 1GB + 512MB of memory installed. CPU-Z reads a total of 1536MB. So minus 128MB for video, I should have 1408MB, right? But Windows is only registering 1.37GB. It's no big deal, but I'm just curious as to where the thirty something MB of memory has gone.

    1 Gb = 1024 Mb

    Heh, is a gigabyte really 1024 MB? I thought the metric system used factor 10..

    computer memory is all based on 2 (binary). Thus, the difference between a megabyte and a gigabyte is 2^10 or 1024.
