    Hey there folks, I wanted to swap my stock HP G62-340US's amd motherboard for an intel motherboard so I can put an i5 or i7 inside. Decent IGC like Nvidia would be nice. Just need a part number or ebay link, ect. Thanks!

    G62 Intel versions. In the pictures they look same outside but could be their internals are different. I mean that it's possible to have to change chassis too or do some dremeling work on the old one.

    Also note that those iCores are first gen, price for a motherboard and cpu and other necessary parts is probably much more than buying a whole used 2nd gen i5/i7 laptop that's also much more powerful. This project would not save you any money, only good reason would be doing it for the fun and learning :)
