    It has been around for awhile, most every computer now can have one except the really cheap budget ones.

    I am Not talking about montevina platform, but about its "refresh" wich could mean new CPUs or chipsets...

    You have the new Quads. The platform went through a refresh, with the addition of a revised Socket P to support both Dual Cores and Quads.

    So...Montevina PLUS @ second quarter of 2009 ??

    The socket wasn't modified but some motherboards needed to be updated..

    The Socket mPGA479M went through another small revision to support the new Quads which had a different electrical pin-out compared to the DCs. Rest, everything is the same. (The socket physically looks the same though)
    I doubt there'll be another platform refresh.
