    Core Duo will be popular due to the thousands going to college. Some might go for other processors, but Core Duo will be the flavor of the next couple of months.

    core duo currently...hoping for merom and if not compatible Ill get the top yonah (even though its not cost effective) as I need this to last at least 3 years.

    Me too! If the price is not a huge difference. I also go for Core Duo might be for merom, but the price always drop and drop all the time every few months.

    I've got multiple cpus due to my work (building machines, give me a call!)

    Still have 2 p4 machines 3 pm machines and then 4 core duos this is not including the machines I am building these are personal/business machines

    Well I voted for core duo but I also have an old HP laptop with a desktop P4 2.8ghz. What a piece of crap that is. Runs hot and loud, no speedstepping, no power management.. uses 2.8 ghz constantly even if I'm just running notepad.
