Most expensive? I don't think so, since I think the Momentus XT comes in a little bit more expensive than that. Best? Hard to say, for some users an XT will be better.

The WD Scorpio Black 750GB is faster than the Seagate 750GB.
Newegg.com - Western Digital Scorpio Black WD7500BPKT 750GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive
It's also more expensive, as you requested
It's not the most quiet though.... -
Thanks Phil, I'll grab that one. I didnt know there's 750gb version of WD black scorp.
-
Yeah, I'd love to sell you my Hitachi 320GB. I put diamonds on it. $50,000obo.

That's a bit expensive for a momentus XT. I'd have expected it to be $110 or something. Anyways , Its a great drive and worth the price.
-
Why's that one so expensive? Isn't this the same thing:
Newegg.com - Seagate Momentus XT ST95005620AS 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s with NCQ Solid State Hybrid Drive -Bare Drive -
Yeah. That's weird. What's the difference of these two drives?

The XT is miles faster with launching programs and booting from cache. -
Now i get it. The higher priced momentus xt is in retail packaging that's why its more expensive. -
Here you go.
NCIX.com - Buy HP 581286-B21 600GB SAS 10K RPM 6G SFF 2.5IN Dual Port Enterprise Hard Drive - Others - 581286-B21 - in Canada
Or this guy, if you only want 7200rpm/SATA.

You can't use SAS drives in laptops... I'd get the XT. Seriously , it can keep up with my C300 so really i see nothing better than it
Most expensive 2.5" 7200rpm HDD for notebook ?
