    Hi!

I'd like to know if there is a laptop motherboard with MXM-III slot or a cheap (=under 900€) laptop which includes 1/2 MXM-III slots.
And please, dont ask why ;)

OCZ 17" Whitebook uses MXM-III but I don't think you'd be able to find just the motherboard by itself. The whole DIY barebone system probably doesn't run much more than 900€....that is if you can get it in Europe.

The 3870 cards have been successfully swapped to a Alienware m9750 though and you might be able to find one of those as just a motherboard.

Cheapest laptop with 2 MXM-III slots would be the Alienware M9700 and M9750 (around 800ish USD on ebay). The M9700 has problems upgrading higher to a 7950 GTX, while the M9750 was shown to work with an ATi Mobility Radeon 3870 MXM-III card (both in Crossfire).

An Asus Z84J should be pretty cheap and that has one MXM-III slot.

Yea well, if been googling that for 4 days and I haven't got any great results. If I buy that OCZ Whitebook with 1 GPU, do I get two MXM-III slots?

Yes you will. The 2nd MXM-III slot will be available if you want to add another card in Crossfire.

Alienware M9750 has pretty bad CPU support :(

How about Asus Z84J? I didn't find any infromation about it's CPU support.

How about that Alienware M17? Crossfire, socket P, DDR3 ... Sounds pretty great. And the price is 1400$ which is like 1100€. Can I get anything better with such price?

    Thanks.
