I have a logitech G9. It is more accurate polling at 1000 then it is at 500 when I have the DPI set to 2000 in windows. It's easier to click small targets basically better.

The software says it recommends 500, but it can easily do 1000. I'm not sure what files to look for to see how much more CPU or ram it is using.
