Hi guys, I'm in the market for a mouse at the moment to use with an Asus G750JW laptop which will be stationary on a desk 95% of the time. I don't do much gaming just Football Manager and Total War. Other than this its used for browsing and social networking etc.

I had the Logitech M510 or M705 in mind however I'm open to change. Do any of you guys have a recommendation of either of these 2 or any others?

    Thanks,
    H

Yeah, I can second that. Very good mouse, I use it too. Only downside it eats batteries preatty fast (and is a bit heavy with 2 batteries).

Hi guys, thanks a lot for the responses. Is the anywhere mouse like the small laptop mice or is it a full desktop mouse if that makes sense?

    Cheers

Are you looking for a wireless or wired mouse? Portable or desktop size? Budget?

Wired mice are as hassle-free as it gets. A desktop size mouse will be the most comfortable. My favorite brand for some time has been Steelseries; they make very practical products that are engineered to last for a long time. SteelSeries North America - Mice
Currently I use a Sensei [RAW] - SteelSeries North America - SteelSeries Sensei [RAW]
I've been supremely pleased with it for all types of work including general productivity, gaming and precision Photoshop work. Very accurate, tough and durable cord, plus it remembers your settings even if you plug it into another computer. I got it for a pretty good price on Amazon a while back.

Anywhere mouse is definitely not a full-sized mouse, though it's pretty comfortable for what it is. It's ambidextrous, save for the back/forward keys on the side, so I use it with my off-hand when my right hand's tired. I'd look for something else if you're going to be stationary most of the time.

If you can afford it and don't sweat very much, I recommend the Steelseries Sensei (or RAW), very very good sensor, butter smooth at low to moderate DPI with a tolerable at ultra high DPI. Only issues are it doesn't seem to get along with the ROCCAT Alumic mousepad and the click switch is initially a little crunchy until the unit is broken in.

I find small gaming mobile mice tend to be very overpriced and underperforming compared to a full sized unit at the same price.
