I've had this mouse for a couple of years (if not a bit longer), so it's well-worn and I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that it's finally developing problems. However, to develop problems right out of the blue instead of gradually leads me to believe that something has happened which may be fixable. This is where the forum comes in (I hope).
I have a Logitech V200 Cordless Notebook Mouse. It has worked perfectly for as long as I've had it, but today it has decided it doesn't want to work anymore. Everything is functioning properly except the middle clicking (which was working perfectly the last time my computer was on). I've tried restarting my computer, shutting down my computer, resetting the mouse, unplugging and re-plugging the receiver, and even knocking it against the desk a few times just in case something was lodged under the button. Now, it's semi-working, in that if I press the very bottom right edge, it will sometimes decide to middle click. The rest of the scroll wheel is working properly, though. It tilt-scrolls and normal-scrolls just fine. It's only middle clicking (which is extremely important when using Firefox) that has decided to malfunction.
Between the last known time it worked and now, the only thing I have changed about my system was that I installed and played Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. The game uses middle-clicking, and in the game the middle-click was working fine. When I started up my computer tonight, I got a "Microsoft Sync Center has stopped working" message, then I noticed this mouse issue. But since it's still not working after a restart and I've yet to get that message again, I doubt it's related.
Any ideas on what might be causing this issue as well as how I might fix it?

Dont take the mouse apart, you can probably send it back to Logitech, I think they put a 3yr warranty on their mice. heck, you dont even need to send it back. Fill out an online form, and send them a picture of the device and a receipt, and they will send you a new one, or a replacement one worth the same value.
Have you tried reinstalling the Logitech software?

Well, it seems that re-installing the software seems to have fixed it up. It feels as if it's taking a slight bit more pressure in order to make it middle-click, so I may end up looking into the warranty anyway just in case. Thanks for the info, and for pointing out the obvious which I didn't even think to do. (The software only controls tilt-scrolling, so it didn't click in my mind that it might still affect the middle mouse button... which is what triggers tilt-scrolling.)
