I want my laptop to be able to transfer files via p2p while I'm walking with the laptop (in a bag). I assume using HDD as p2p sharing storage would cause a disk failure. Using SSD would probably be the solution except I can't afford one. So, could I use cheaper 'Expresscard SSD' for file sharing, while moving with the laptop? Is it a problem that OS remains in HDD, since I probably can't boot from Expresscard SSD?

You don't need to worry about walking with the laptop, just don't jump around and do stupid things and you'll be fine.

if you are walking with your laptop in a bag, make sure your bag have some kind of ventilation to prevent the laptop from overheating. You can keep the bag opened to let the hot air out maybe...

I second that.

true walking with a laptop or carrying it under your arm will not destroy the hard drive. just dont run and jump around or try violently shaking the laptop in any way. i think laptop hard drives today arent as sensitive as they used to be back then

Depending on your laptop I wouldn't advise leaving it on and running inside a closed (or even slightly open) bag; as other people said the heat factor is more of a problem than screwing up your HDD.
If you have an older machine or one with integrated graphics, it might be ok to leave it in the bag. But if you have a dedicated GPU in a new machine where the fan runs constantly and needs an unblocked intake/exhaust port, then I would never leave it running in a (nearly) sealed bag -
Yeah, keeping your laptop running while in a bag is a bad idea.
Moving laptop while it's accessing HDD/SSD
