Hi all. Just after some urgent help.

I've got a 12 monitor setup, and I'm after a program that will do a slideshow. The slideshow in windows picture and fax viewer only shows the images on 1 monitor, but I want it to display an image across all 12 monitors. I've even tried a simple screen saver, but again, image is only displayed on one monitor, not stretched across all twelve.

Anyone know of a program that will do this off the top of your head?

Help is much appreciated and may be rewarded ;) with rep.

EDIT: Powerpoint has no joy for me either.

It depends on how the monitors are setup.

4 across, 3 down. Square pattern.

I meant hardware wise, not layout. It doesn't matter the layout.

Keep in mind, all the solutions that I know of are pay. None that I know of are free.

3 Matrox video cards with 2 outputs per card. Each output has a split. 3x2x2 = 12. Computer is a IBM eserver.

XP SP3. XP will only run 10, but you can force it to run 12 I've found.

Do you really need 12? Maybe you'll have to cut it down to 9.

One option is to run in a "big desktop" mode. I'm not sure if matrox offers such a thing, but other vendors do (sort of a "NT4 style" desktop on Win2k,XP,Vista, and/or Win7). Applications, like the built-in photo viewer, will only think there's one, big, monitor. This is nice for app compat.

Otherwise, you'll need to find a an app that's really multi-mon aware when it's in it's slideshow mode. I don't know of any, and couldn't find anything obvious on google, sorry. I was thinking of Adobe Lightroom (which is multi-mon aware in general, but i don't know about it's slideshow mode...) but I don't have it here to try.

How did you force it to 12?

Plug them all in obviously, then I found one program, called gslideshow, which will tell you which monitors the os is ignoring. This program has pretty much proved a solution, although it has been a compromise. The files that span across 12 monitors are so big in file size that the ram can't update the pictures in less than, say, once ever 10 minutes.

Gslideshow only cost $30, but is great for what I needed it for. You can just tick a box that says "display accross ignored monitors", and bang, all 12 come on. Plenty of options for multi monitor as well. I will try and get a program from matrox as you say though as well.

    Cheers
