Hi all. It has been awhile since I've posted on here but I had an issue and figured I would post a topic.![]()
I recently purchased a Bluetooth USB dongle so I could use the bluetooth on my phone and browse over the 3G network. This wasn't a problem until I realized that when I remove the dongle and then reinsert it sometime later, windows will recognize the dongle as a new one and install new software. This results in Bluetooth Device #2, #3 and so forth showing up in the device manager.
The other side of this issue is that I had other friends use their phones to browse the web. All of our phones, when installed via bluetooth, installed the same Standard Modem over Bluetooth link four different times. You can see the picture below to get a better understanding.
My question is how do I remove all of these and start over so there is only one without the "#" behind it. I have tried uninstalling them but the computer will just reinstall upon rebooting.
I am using Windows Vista.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.![]()
Thanks.

This point will not answer your question but, if you remember to place the dongle in the same usb slot it will not show up as new hardware
