I bought my 1340 directly from Dell in March.
It has been a great laptop so far.
About a month after owning it, the built in 1.3 MP webcam disappeared from device manager. If I try installing the driver, it has an error saying it cannot detect the webcam.
Perhaps I'm lazy cuz I am just getting around to doing something about it![]()
I thought about opening up the laptop and making sure the webcam wires are all connected, but I might just let dell deal with it...
If I call dell and tell them about it, will they send out a tech guy, or have me send the laptop back to dell for repairs? The reason I ask is because if dell is just going to send out a tech, I would rather just try to fix it myself. I honestly don't trust the dell tech guys, I've seen them in action and they seem to handle computers really roughly, they don't put all the screws back in, and they just seem sloppy IMO. I would probably do a better job![]()
Any ideas? Thanks
My 1340's Webcam is gone.
