I have the Acer5672, and have been running a couple of battery life tests lately with Battery Eater Pro, and i think mine might be a dud or something.
The first time i ran BEpro (on the second ever full charge) it said i have aprox. 64000mwh on a full charge. the design capacity is 71000mWh.
I've only recharged the batter less than 10 times, and now the full capacity has fallen to 57000mWh. it was just at 59000mWh, the second last time i ran BEpro, and when i ran it again it has dropped to 57000mWh. thats only 80% of the original full charge! an i've only gone through less than 10 charge/recharge cycles! I always run it all the way until the battery dies.
is there something wrong with my battery? this is a pretty huge problem as i'm leaving for Korea in 3 days! no time to take it into the depot to get checked out.
any other battery programs out there i could check out?
i ALWAYS get screwed over with batteries. my minidisc battery would ALWAYS die faster than my friends battery. my camera's battery always ****s out early. not to mention my cellphone battery. if i use it it dies! now my laptop battery?

Same thing is happening to me gino. My battery life isn't dying at the rate of yours, but close enough.
Let your reseller know because your battery should be able to be replaced within a full year, so go get a new one from them.
Cheers,
Mike -
yea, i'm definitely going to need to check it out to see what is going on..i wish i had found out earlier. cuz i'm leaving for korea in a couple of days. and asking for a replacement in a language i dont know its going to be hard!!
its weird, i ran BEPro, and let it make a charging graph this time. now i'm at 58,000mWh...i got a little more charge!..its wierd.
does anybody know what controls the charging of the battery? is it the BIOS, the OS, a program? -
gino, I've had my battery go from 1% to 3% to 5% then to 8% down to 7% and now up to 11%.
I am Korean so if you need any help I'll help yah out
It's okay though they will understand your needs as soon as you ask them over there, as they are very technically inclined.
Also beware as there are way too many fakes over in Korea, even in the department stores if you're not careful.
Even if you have to pay a little more for a new battery make sure it's from a big mall or something, not a dinky little store, trust me.
Cheers,
Mike
