Hi guys!
Today I seem the be unable to boot my laptop. FYI, before that , I was installing Power4Gear, and before that I uninstalled norton and installed ESET Smart Security 4. While installing P4G, it crashed, and BSOD'd. Now, everytime I try to boot, it says "no boot device found". I tried to select my HDD through the Esc key while starting my lappy, but no luck. It also did not bring any recovery disks with the laptop.
Any ideas?

So the HD shows up in BIOS or no?
If it shows up in BIOS, you might be in luck and all that was corrupted was the boot loader. In that case all you need access to is a Windows Setup DVD.
If it is not detected in BIOS, then that is more serious. -
Yes, it shows in the BIOS. But, unfortunatly, there was no Windows Setup DVD.
Is there another way to get it solved? Maybe change the HDD? -
What operating system is it?
Id say the bootloader just got corrupted too but "no boot device found" isnt the usual error you will get if it was. -
Yeah. If you're using Vista or Win 7 you can boot off your Win 7 DVD and then choose the repair computer option. It usually does a great job of fixing issues like that.

Okay for one: ASUS warranty does not cover software issues. ASUS will probably reimage your hard drive and ship it back to you.
If you have Vista/7 for future reference, hit F8 right after you hit the power button to power on your laptop, go to option Repair my computer, and launch the start up repair. Sometimes when removing stuff or modifying important system files, they get corrupt. No reason to lose your laptop for such a simple matter. -
I tried everything I could, and the only solution was to change my HDD. And the only way to do it without voiding the warranty, was to send it to asus.

Well no, if BIOS sees the drive but does not see a boot device, the SATA controller on the motherboard could be defective, resulting it the system not seeing the drive. But it's odd that the BIOS will still see it. Could be signs if a failing drive.
You could have pulled the drive out, and connect it to a working computer and see if you see the hard drive. -

This isn't a tech support issue. I'd suggest you boot from an Ubuntu LiveCD to access your data and back it up. It's easy, all you have to do is go to BIOS and change the boot order to boot from a CD disk. If you want to stay with Windows 7, get a backup disk. Good lord, you can even download a legal copy of Windows 7 these days and legally activated it with your product key. -
My HDD is dead. I need help please!
