Hi guys
I installed an Intel 320 120GB SSD today in my HP EliteBook. Here are the numbers,

These numbers seem a little low to me. Unfortunately I'm having trouble finding a comparable 500MB CDM benchmark ... anyone out there with the same SSD (120GB version only) willing to run it? Download here:
Download Center - Crystal Dew World
This is what I did,
-Clean install of Windows 7 Pro x64
-Installed latest Intel RST driver
-Run Intel SSD toolbox (says I am running the latest SSD firmware and everything is optimized)
Thanks![]()

Thanks a lot. Looks like yours are right in line with mine save for the higher sequential read. Assuming yours are normal, I guess mine are too. Phew.
I was looking at numbers for a 300GB version of this SSD over at StorageReview, they were noticeably higher, which is why I originally thought mine were low. Seems like higher capacity SSDs have better performance. -
Yes, higher capacity SSDs have better performance. It is in one part due to the number of controller channels populated (This is mostly a 60GB vs 120GB thing though) and the other is due to the NAN (i don't remember the reason why though, tilleroftheearth probably does). Any SSD still destroys a HDD though.

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
I'll get my 120GB SSD benchmark up soon, here is my 160 GB 320 series SSD;
I'm surprised my 160 GB is slower than your 120 GB.. -
This is my 160GB:

Thanks ramgen. Yes the higher capacity versions definitely look like they are proportionally faster.
@Tsunade_Hime - yours is definitely low, have you run the Intel SSD Toolbox on it? And do you have AHCI enabled in the BIOS? -
Yours look good enough Charles.
With some tweaking you might be able to get better synthetic scores but it's not worth the effort in my opinion.
Just manually disabling Intelppm might be interesting though. Make sure to enable if again after running the benchmark or battery life will take a hit. -
Mines the same ish numbers, mainly bought since it was on sale and intel reliability.

Having a little problem uploading pics(can't figure out the settings on Filezilla)...
.
Mine are:
Seq - 249.6/133.8
512k - 197.5/126.9
4k - 15.94/28.63
4KQD32 - 137.3/68.50
The above is on a relatively new Intel 320 series 120gb SSD.
When I was reading the thread Charles mentioned the Intel SSD Toolbox, I downloaded/installed it, but when I run the SSD optimization it says, "Raid Array detected. If raid array is not present, reboot and try again." I rebooted...same message. Anyone ever run across this before? I have a Pavilion DV6 and used the Intel Migration Software.
Also, Charles mentioned checking to make sure AHCI is checked in BIOS, but in my bios. It seems gimped...there really are no options for anything. The most basic BIOS I've ever seen. No memory settings, actually nothing at all...just a screen with information...but no options really.
Best,
Liquid Cool
