That's not a dedicated SSD, but rather a cache device built into the 1TB HDD. I believe it's known as ExpressCache.

The 24GB will be used for the storage of and quick access to the most common operating system functions, allowing fast boot for example.

The 24GB ssd is being used as a cache. Being 24GB, it is not actually built into the 1tb hdd. It will be in the Msata slot. This is a mpcie slot, that is also msata compatible. You should check your programs and you will notice that you have some sort of express cache installed. This cache is making your latop boot up and shut down ~twice as fast, than if you did not have it.
So there is nothing to do, but let it do its work.
Now if you want, you can get a bigger msata ssd and take out the 24GB ssd, use the new msata ssd as your primary hdd, and use the 1tb as back-up.

Thank you very much for your reply
i still have some questions if you haven't mind

according to these specifications of my laptop in this link ( http://www.samsung.com/sg/consumer/...ook-pc/ultra-portable/NP530U4C-S02SG)......it was written that (ExpressCache 24GB), i searched in my system information and found that its type is is (24GB SanDisk i100 SSD)
    these are my questions:

1- I realized that it's working automatically without any interference from me....is it right ?!

2- how to check my programs to notice that i have sort of express cach installed?

3- Can i use the intel rapid start technology for my SSD or it's different technology not compatible with my laptop and Sandisk SSD ??
this is link explaining steps to intel smart response technology but i don't know if it useful for me or not ??!!

Looks like the 24GB is build onto your board so there are no upgrade possibilities.

The point of a cache is that it will put the data most frequently accessed on it using a caching algorithm, hence why you cannot tweak how it works.
