My X120e runs at 130'F on idle and gets up to 145'F on load.

Hi. I used speedfan to measure the temperature and it ranges from 130' to 145'F.

I can feel the hot air coming out but I haven't had any problems because ti felt so hot or any problems with the performance of the laptop.

Is it worth the trouble to take the laptop apart and try to lap the heatsink and/or replace the probably cheap OEM thermal paste with some Arctic Silver?

Those temps are not bad at all. But if it has been a while since youve dusted and you know how to properly disassemble a laptop and apply thermal grease then its always worth it.

X120e isn't too horrid to disassemble, 2 bottom screws and the bottom plate comes off, gives you access to the fan.

You've presented absolutely no reason for you to disassemble your laptop. 145f is 62 Celsius which is in fact a LOT lower than what most laptops run at under load these days... Unsafe temp starts at 90c.

No one uses Fahrenheit with technology temps. Always C.

Yeah, and that makes it simpler because you can think about it as if it were the temp you would want to be at in Fahrenheit. E. G. if you live in texas/have a laptop with crappy cooling, you might be comfortable with 90 degrees. Most people are comfortable with 70.

Although you do a bunch of cooling mods or watch your idle temps, the numbers (in Celsius) should be coming up like the temps (in Fahrenheit) outdoors here in minnesota and wisconsin. :p
