Fired up my Toshiba laptop with 17" display and immediately noticed the complete lack of red. Went to settings to see if something got accidently bumped and found that when I tried to adjust the level of red nothing happens. Other colors seem to be fine, just no red. Anybody else ever have this happen to them? Any ideas what went wrong or how to fix it? TIA

You may have a loose display cable... has the laptop been bumped around recently? It can also just work loose. That's the most common cause for a single color disappearing.

Reseating the cable is the first thing tech support will have you do if you call up with ANY screen problem that isn't related to actual damage. Dunno how to do so on your model, but a call to toshiba support or a check on their site/google may yield results.
