So about an hour ago I opend my toshiba satellite to check what kind of RAM memory I needed. I simply took it out and them back again.
When I tried to turn the computer on it dind't do anything. The blue button turns on and about 2 seconds after it tunrs off again. The display does't show anything.
I double checked and the RAM card is properly attached.
What should I do? What could be the problem?

Triple-check, brumansap. I don't think your RAM is properly seated.

If you have 2 sticks of ram in there, take one out and see if its boots with only one stick in there. Try the same thing with the other stick. If you just have one make sure its a snug fit and the clips are attached.
Did you remove the ram on carpet/desk/etc.?
This could be a sign of Electrostatic discharge (ESD) aka static electricty(the little sudden shocks) which can cause serious damage to the motherboard/CPU/Ram -

Well i tried and triend and tried to move my RAM and nothing changes.
But I didn't "ground" my self, what could that mean? -
You could have fried it with electrostatic.
Double triple check its in correctly and check for any physical damage. -
just try ans put it in perfectly one more time. also, make sure you have the cover on before booting I did this once on my laptop and didn't see the cover had some metal on it needed for the ram to run or something. Also, one of the pieces of metal wasn't in the right place so I moved it back and it worked. Check all these things

take out the RAM that you pulled out before, if u have another one already installed. if ur lappy runs, then it is your RAM. if its properly seated and nothing appears damaged, then yeah you have probably fried your RAM thanks to ESD.

thanks guys, now after millions of tries i got it to work, the problem was, as all of you said from the beggining, the RAM wasn't properly seated.
It is really hard to place it correctly, it took me a lot of tries to make it, but it is all cool now. -
what's the proper method to go about "grounding" yourself and taking any other precautions so as not to damage the ram by ESD? i'm planning to change my ram pretty soon.

Go to Radio Shack and get a wrist strap, a Velcro band with a contact to your skin and a lead with an alligator clip, and use it before you touch anything inside your computer. It's like 5 bucks.

I attach it to my case. -
Any non-painted metal surface in the case.
My lap wont turn on, I just removed the RAM and replaced it again.
