My laptop gets very very hot and power off unexpectedly while surfing the internet. No warnings, no error messages, it's like it has a mind of it's own. My system shuts off like this every other day, but now it's starting to shutdown more often like once a day, or twice a day. Please help me!

Replacing TIM should only be considered a last resort when combating high heat signatures. Re-applying TIM, in nearly all cases, will void the manufacturer's warranty of the laptop. I strongly urge against this action unless there is no other alternative.

To the OP, can you provide us the temperatures that your laptop is currently running at? HDD, GPU, and CPU temperatures would be ideal, both in idle and load conditions. Also, can you provide us the specifications (components) of your laptop as well?

    I wouldn't go that far.
But yes, if you have warranty then try everything else first before you change the paste.

If the fan is blowing out hot air, that is at least an indicator that it's cooling properly.

Open it up and clean the dust out of the heatsink with canned compressed air. If that doesn't help, try undervolting, and if that doesn't help and ONLY AS A LAST RESORT (as it may void the warranty if still active) replace the stock thermal paste.

that is very hot. Try lowering your temps by undervolting , getting a notebook cooling pad and blowing compressed air through your notebook fans..
