ok... 8 month laptop... 2moths ago the thing starts to get hot... really hot... like i play Eve-Online for 5min and my comp restarts with the blu screen of death with out warning... so i do some research and buy a Zalman cooling Pad... it helps ... a little . still blue screen of death.
so i do some more digging and i dl a clocking utility and do some underclocking. Now its better but idle is at 60c and i underclock some so i can play somewhat. ingame im at 80c , i though its normal but reading some more on this site i realize this is unaceptable!

    1. how do i make speedfan ajust the speed of the fan...lol
    2. wth is wrong with this picture?

    I own a Toshiba Statellite, Centrino Duo T2300 1.66ghz, 2gb ram.....

Perhaps buy a can of compressed air, open the bottom and do a little summer cleaning :)

    My guesses:

    -fans/cooling ducts clogged
    -excessive thermal grease
    -heatsink has come loose
    -fan is broken

Yeah if it only started recently then I would say dust clogging the vents. Or you jarred the laptop and messed with the heat sinks.

Try cleaning it first, but seeing as it's only 8 months old, you could call support and see what they will do about it.

Yeah, if you have never cleaned your laptop, I'm sure in 8 months there has been a good amount of dust that has gotten in there.
